About the Firm

McDonald Sanders is one of the oldest and largest full-service law firms in Fort Worth, Texas. The firm began in 1951, when the founding partners - including Atwood McDonald, Earnest Sanders, Marcus Ginsburg, Olcott Phillips, and Robert Maddox - opened an office in the Sinclair Building on Main Street. They were soon joined by Robert Newkirk and other outstanding attorneys.

After moving to the Oil and Gas Building on Seventh Street, and later to the Continental National Bank Building on Seventh and Houston, the firm relocated in 1983 to what is now the Carter Burgess Plaza at 777 Main Street, where it remains today.

In 1990, the partnership became a professional corporation and was officially named McDonald Sanders.

Throughout the long history of the firm, many of the finest, most respected legal professionals in Fort Worth have been a part of McDonald Sanders. The firm has grown steadily over the years, and now includes a diverse team of attorneys and staff.

Likewise, McDonald Sanders has served a diverse group of clients, from Texas Christian University, Cassco Land Company and Dean Foods Company to the Fort Worth Independent School District, Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway, Ridgmar and Grapevine Mills malls, and United Electric Cooperative Services.

In addition to its contributions in the legal community, McDonald Sanders feels a deep commitment to Fort Worth and gives generously to charitable causes in the city. By serving on boards, contributing financially and offering needed professional assistance, the attorneys at McDonald Sanders have played - and will continue to play - a significant role in the city's growth and vitality.
