James Webb
James Webb, a shareholder and director with McDonald Sanders, has been with the firm for more than 33 years. He offers a broad knowledge of law, with particular emphasis in real estate and commercial financing. He joined the firm in 1974 upon his admittance to the State Bar of Texas.
He was promoted to partner in 1978. Mr. Webb represented the Fort Worth Independent School District in its $398 million bond project for improvement of school facilities.
The project included acquisition of vacant and improved properties, leasing of specific facilities, condemnation proceedings, and handling of agreements with architects, contractors, builders and others involved in construction projects.
Mr. Webb also has represented banks and bank holding companies, in both formation and bank acquisitions. He serves as local counsel for one of the largest auto finance companies.
A 1967 graduate of the University of Illinois, Mr. Webb earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering. He was employed in the aerospace industry for several years prior to entering law school. In 1974, he earned a law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
