Judge Crowley previously worked for McDonald Sanders from 1977 to 1983. In 1983, he was elected as the District Judge for the 67th Judicial District Court of Tarrant County, Texas. Judge Crowley served as district judge for 13 years until he retired from the bench effective December 31, 1996.

While serving as judge of the 67th District Court, Judge Crowley presided over civil litigation cases. Utilizing his experience as a district judge, Judge Crowley plans to concentrate in the area of mediation of civil litigation cases. Judge Crowley has completed a 40 hour course in mediation, and served on the Board of Directors of Dispute Resolution Service of Tarrant County for six years.

After graduating law school, he served as an associate for the firm of Crowley, Wright, Miller & Garnett from 1958 to 1964. Thereafter, Judge Crowley was a partner with the firm of Brown, Day & Crowley from 1964 to 1977.
