Peers Recognize McDonald Sanders Attorneys as “Super Lawyers”
Each year, more than 57,000 Texas lawyers are asked by Law & Politics magazine to nominate the best lawyers in the state. The resulting lists of “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars” are revealed in joint publications from Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines.
During the past five years, twelve attorneys from McDonald Sanders have received the distinction of “Super Lawyer” or “Rising Star.” Those attorneys are James Webb, Rick Sorenson, Greg Hargrove, Robert Ginsburg, Kevin Kuenzli, Rory Divin, Stuart Lumpkins, Nicholas Bettinger, Richard DeBerry, Jennifer Littman, Brandon Wade and Russell Devenport.
Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Following a carefully administered and monitored selection process, Super Lawyers bestows this prestigious, peer-nominated award on only 5% of Texas attorneys each year.
The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel.
The selection process for Rising Stars is similar to the Super Lawyers selection process except that, to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. While up to 5% of the lawyers in the state are named Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5% of young Texas lawyers are named to the Rising Stars list.
