Rick was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977. In law school, Rick served as a writer on the Legal Research Board in 1976-1977. Rick is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Member of Corporate, Real Estate, and Business Litigation Law Sections), the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.

Rick is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and in Commercial Real Estate. Rick practices in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, oil & gas, and corporate organization and planning.
